OUR CONDOLENCES The FPCA family extends our condolences to the family and friends of Charlotte Braly. Charlotte died on February 27. A memorial service for Charlotte will be held here at FPCA on Saturday, March 20 at 11:00 am. OUR CHOIR Our Choir is preparing special music for Lent. All of those interested in participating with the Choir during this special time of year, please contact Margaret at (703)451-4290. Rehearsals are from 7:00 to 8:15 pm on Thursdays. THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY For several years a small group of women have been meeting informally on Thursday mornings at 10:30 in the church library. We choose a book of the Bible and read it to see what it says. Relying on the Holy Spirit, we also hope to see what it means. We do not want to be exclusive--we invite anyone, female or male, who is willing and able to invest a little time in exploring God's Word. We are now studying the letter to the Romans. Please join us! CHURCH RENOVATIONS MEETINGS Every Wednesday between now and April 28, a Church Renovation meeting will take place in room 200 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. All who are interested in participating are welcome. Church Renovations Meetings will not occur on the third Wednesday of the month due to Session meetings. BETHANY HOUSE DONATIONS Bethany House of Northern Virginia (BHNV) would like to thank everyone for their donations which helped make the holiday season brighter for the abused women and their children that BHNV serves. Your generous donations of used items for resale at Joseph's Coat Thrift Store are also much appreciated. BHNV is always in need of cleaning supplies (detergent, paper towels, cleansers, etc.) for the client homes it operates. Please place these in the barrel off the kitchen, or at the back of the sanctuary, and they will be taken directly to the BHNV office. Please note that donations of used toys and stuffed animals which could pose a hazard to young children are no longer being accepted at Joseph's Coat. However, new toys are fine. BHNV regrets this change in policy, but cannot risk the legal liability if something adverse should happen. If you have any questions, please contact Norma Muller. |
